You wait a while, then two come along at once.

It’s been a pleasure to have a mini solo exhibition at Crumps Barn Studio in Cirencester and to have three pictures accepted for the Three Storeys Winter Exhibition in Nailsworth.

Crumps Barn Studio is a new gallery come shop where Lorna Brookes runs her book publishing business. Read more on Instagram I was looking around one day, as any new shops in Cirencester just have to be perused. I got chatting to Lorna. She explained how they like to display art on their walls and after seeing 'The Cutting Table' on Instagram she offered me the fantastic opportunity to have a mini solo exhibition.

I then had a busy few days ordering oak frames, cutting mounts and putting it all together, nine of my woodcut, linocut and ink stamped prints were delivered. Lorna got them up on the wall, her customers commenting positively before she had finished hanging them.
All the prints chosen have a 'nature' theme, including 'Big Red and Gingko'.

I loved this experience, handing over the pictures for Lorna to curate was great, seeing how she put them all together and combined them with other things in the shop was really pleasing. And, as I never see them grouped together in this way, it’s really special.
This exhibition is on until 7th Jan.
Opening hours are 10am to 4.30pm
Take the alleyway by the old Rackhams store in the Marketplace and look out for Crumps Barn Studio on the right.

Meanwhile I had submitted three of my prints for a Winter Exhibition at Three Storeys in Nailsworth, I was thrilled that all of them made the cut. Visit Three Storeys website
Ironically the winter weather delayed the hanging by a day. The exhibition is diverse mix of work, watercolours, oils, photography, prints and more, by professional and amateur artists living and working in the local area.

The work is displayed in The Setting gallery and The Plot café. My friend Jak and I visited to see how my contribution was looking, and enjoyed sampling the coffee and cakes while we were there.
Having your work combined with other styles and media is interesting, the display is full of colour and light. It definitely brings a bit of joy to this chilly winter.

The Three Storeys Winter Exhibition runs until 22nd Jan
