Back in March at the beginning of Lockdown we went for a walk in the Malverns - this was the weekend when hoards of people flocked to welsh mountains and seaside resorts fearing impending restrictions. Stuart's usual walking spot was worryingly busy so we found a quieter place and enjoyed a stroll up to Eastnor Obelisk. The views were refreshing and the trees were festooned with Mistletoe. #malvernhills #eastnor #mistletoe
A design based on the sprig I photographed seems like a nice idea for a Christmas card print.
I haven't tried a small scale print like this before - there were a few issues - I needed a smaller tool to carve the fine lines and different ink to stop the thin grooves from filling in when printing. The prints also took a few days to dry. All part of the learning curve! #handmadecards #woodcutcards
I printed the image in white on neutral kraft card - giving it a snowy Christmassy feel. Now for sale individually or as a pack of 3 with a choice of green or red envelopes. Each card is hand printed - (not mass produced) so perfect for someone who deserves a special seasonal greeting! A way to suggest a Christmas kiss, without actually risking it! Now available as framed mini prints, perfect for an original Christmas gift.
