Thank you Gardens Gallery

George, Jak and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Gardens Gallery. We took our 'disparate' collection of art forms, 'Wings Wood Weave 2' to Cheltenham, and what a response we got!

Comments from our visitors book...

3 great exhibitions - very inspiring! Mary, Cirencester
Beautiful, evocative - thank you! Laura, Gloucester

I love the mix between colours and grey. Ingrid, Sweden

Katie's prints have real life/vitality and organised planning. Conrad, Cheltenham

What a lovely Exhibition and Georges's Pictures!! Amazing!! Silvia, Bourton on the Water

We loved how we could zone the gallery, George had plenty of space for his showstopping murmurations and a more intimate nook for his corvids. Jak's Saori loom was a colourful and interactive space that invited people to have a go. My area, 'Katie's corner' was full of pattern and colour, people loved seeing the wood blocks I use to print with.

There was a steady flow of visitors. The regular 'poppers-in', local folk who walk past the gallery every week and are keen to see what the latest show has to offer. The retired art teacher who loved to discuss and comment, and Miranda who joyfully spotted the weaving loom and showed us she'd done it before. Many friends from Cirencester, and my relatives from Germany, Cambridge, Sussex and Surrey made the trip, thank you all for your support. Countermeasures, our resident boy band, sang on Saturday afternoon to entertain as people looked at the exhibition, sipped fizz and nibbled my homemade flapjack and brownies. Great atmosphere and buzz!

It was nice to sell some of our work too. One of my Malvern Mistletoe prints is going to be a wedding present for someone, and Hanging Pumpkins has gone to decorate a little boy in Bristol's bedroom wall because he likes the word 'Pumpkin', how sweet! Jak's cushions have gone to new homes, and a scarf is going to be a joint present from five girl friends for a special birthday. George took lots of orders for prints, so there will be murmurations all over, as well as Tewkesbury!

Thank you everyone who visited! Little mention for Neil with some previous art dealing experience, he passed on some vital tips to George 'just look at the detail...' and was also was very good at clicking the clicker and pouring prosecco.

It was a really nice thing to put together with friends, so thanks too to George and Jak, maybe we will do it again!!
