My friend Jak Harrison aka @jakharrisonwiter @weaving_the_wild and I decided to have a go at making wreaths at the end of 2021. We went for one of our morning dog walks along the Tetbury Trail and snipped a few seasonal twigs, then augmented with bounty from our gardens. I laid it out ready on my garden table. #foraging #naturalmaterials #foundmaterials #tetbury #tetburytrail
Bay Leaves, Mahonia, Rosemary, Rose Hips, Hart's Tongue Ferns, little Teasels, flowering Ivy and more all looked gorgeous.
We were pleased with the resulting wreaths and I was inspired to make a woodcut too.
The process... (simplified!)
And then for some ink stamped colours...
It takes me a while to develop my ideas, and find time to produce new images, so it's not really the right season for 'The Cutting Table' at the moment - but it will give me a good reason to shout about it again next Christmas.#christmaswreaths #homemadedecorations #madebyhand
I thoroughly enjoyed foraging for our wreaths - will definitely have a go again next year. Love your woodcut print - utterly gorgeous ❤️
