Warm feelings

It makes me feel happy and comfortable when we've got a full log store. This is what I mean when I say Fuelled Up!

I love kiln dried firewood, our birch logs come from White Horse Energy. I came across this company when working on a creative brief as a freelancer at a local marketing Agency. They burn very well in both our woodturning stoves, (I know, little bit greedy having two) and it's good to heat the room you are actually in, rather than the whole house, particularly with gas and electric prices being so high. #kilndriedfirewood #birchlogs

When the logs arrive on a pallet - the nice drivers at Pallettways wheel them up my road on a pump tuck, much easier than driving the 18 tonne lorry down Chester Street. I usually enlist help for unloading and stacking - this is where the little wheelbarrow comes into play. It trundles the logs down the passage to the store, no problem.

This barrow belonged to my grandparents when they lived in Caterham, Surrey. My sister, cousins and I loved pushing each other around in it. The picture at the top is my cousin Petra giving me a ride, this was in 1976, so the wheel barrow is about 50 years old and still serves me very well.
